Jewish Munich

The changing history of Jews in Munich is a history of the modern age. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, the Jewish congregations made important contributions to the city’s history, often in the face of adverse conditions. Since 1945, Munich has ultimately grown into one of the largest centers of Jewish life in the Federal Republic.
